What’s your story?
I became a dyer after working for Sweet Georgia Yarns in Vancouver back in to 2018. I came back home to the UK (May 2019) and thought I'm going to give this a go. So I got a credit card with £500 and started buying my supplies and made a shop on Etsy and away I went. I made a few sales on my Esty shop but my business really took off towards the end of 2019 and mid-2020. I branched out of Etsy and onto my own website that I made from scratch. I have always wanted to be my own boss and control the life that I wanted, such as having a family or having time off without having to ask for it from a boss. Also I just love creating beautiful, fun and quirky yarns that get to travel all around the world and make crafters happy.

The Mimo Yarn Co, is a bright, bold and colourful yarn company. We love all people, from all walks of life. I want my business to be known for colourful and funny named yarns that inspire people to make things that bring them nothing but joy. I am a proud woman of colour that enjoys creating art, and it's taken me a long time within my life to find something that brings me so much joy and pleasure. Mimo doesn't feel like work for me, it's my passion and hobby.
What can we find at The Mimo Yarn Co.?
My products are hand-dyed yarn in Sock and DK weight, with some specials every now and then.
Are you open to collaborations or custom work?
I love doing collaborations with designers around the world and look to do more in the future. Custom work can be something I do in the future, but you can always pop me and email and we can see what we can do!
